Acrylic painting created with a mix of palette knife and brush work with layering of paints on a canvas board. The Valley of the Moon is located far out east from San Diego at the Mexico-US border in a remote desert. Amazingly a herd of wild horses calls this place home and it is a rare treat to see them. Rock climbers have discovered this area and fondly refer to it as a Mini Joshua Tree. This painting scene shows the wild horses of the Valley of the Moon and two climbers on the popular "Tombstone" rock at night under a full moon.
